I2N – Digital Learning Module Production Proposal
Prepared by:
The Why
The University of Newcastle’s Integrated Innovation Network (I2N) is expanding their Canvas-based e-learning offering to support two key programs: the Pre-Accelerator/FLIP programs and the Impact Ready program.
Having worked closely with I2N on the video production component of last year’s digital module rollout, Kye Smith Creative has a strong understanding of I2N’s content, audience, and quality expectations. This proposal outlines how KSC will take I2N’s finalised slide decks and transform them into engaging, self-paced, SCORM-compliant e-learning modules built in Articulate Rise 360, ready for direct upload into Canvas.
This year, all video content will be produced in-house by I2N’s media team, allowing KSC to focus entirely on instructional design, module builds, and delivering a polished final product. The approach outlined below is designed to deliver high-quality, interactive learning experiences within the project budget.
Strategic Vision & Audience
Target Audience
Elevator Pitching (Pre-Accelerator / FLIP): Ambitious founders, female entrepreneurs, and regional leaders building innovative, tech-enabled products. These learners are typically balancing their startup journey with significant external commitments, making flexible, on-demand learning critical.
Impact Ready: University of Newcastle academic staff and Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students engaged in industrially relevant research. The modules will help bridge the gap between academic research and industry application, equipping participants to share their work as standalone tools across the wider university.
Creative Tone
Concise and self-paced: Content must be highly relevant, easy to navigate, and designed for time-poor professionals and academics who need to learn on their own schedule.
Active engagement over passive reading: Modules will move beyond static slides by incorporating evidence-based instructional design elements such as knowledge checks, accordions, labeled graphics, and interactive flip cards.
Standardised I2N branding: Rather than program-specific theming, all modules will feature a standard, overarching I2N brand wrap, allowing content to be repurposed seamlessly across multiple programs as part of I2N’s broader brand tidy.
Deliverables
The following deliverables will be provided as part of this project:
1 x Elevator Pitching SCORM module
4 x Impact Ready SCORM modules
Note: A potential secondary deliverable of re-wrapping the existing FLIP modules with the new I2N branding may arise if I2N’s student ambassadors are unable to complete the task. This would be scoped and quoted separately.
