The Why

Archer’s Run is one of the largest residential communities in the Lake Macquarie region, and stages 7 to 10 represent a multi-year program from bulk earthworks through to completed homes. A project of this scale and duration deserves a professional visual record, and this proposal outlines how KSC can deliver it, starting with the bulk earthworks phase and building toward the full program.

KSC is Newcastle-based and has been flying civil projects at Archer’s Run and across the Morisset area since 2024, including earlier stages of this community. That means genuine familiarity with the site, fast response across the Hunter, and the flexibility to schedule visits around site conditions and weather.

What we are proposing is a two-layer documentation approach. Monthly GPS-programmed drone flights capture all four stages from consistent angles, with a short edited progress reel delivered after every visit and high-resolution stills uploaded to a branded client portal within hours of each attendance. Alongside this, fixed time lapse cameras can be installed from early in the engagement, capturing every day between visits and giving the project team eyes on the ground at all times, from anywhere.

  • Stakeholders and future residents: A transparent and compelling record of the community taking shape, building confidence in the quality and progress of the delivery.

Our Approach

This engagement is built around two complementary layers of coverage:

  • Drone-led monthly visits: GPS-programmed waypoint flights capturing all four stages from consistent, repeatable angles, with a short edited progress reel delivered after every visit and high-resolution stills uploaded to the client portal within hours of each attendance.
  • Fixed-point time lapse: Self-contained solar and 4G cameras that can be installed from early in the engagement, capturing every day between visits. The monthly drone visit shows you the month; a fixed camera fills in every day in between.

Monthly Drone Progress Visits

Scheduled visits flying GPS-programmed waypoints, so every attendance captures the same angles and the record stays consistent across the entire phase. On a site of this scale, the drone is the only way to capture the full picture in a single visit.

- GPS waypoint flights repeated identically each visit, building an aerial time lapse of the earthworks
- Orbital passes and progress coverage of active works across all four stages
- High-resolution aerial stills, uploaded to the client portal within hours
- Raw drone footage available on request at no additional charge
- Frequency is flexible: monthly as standard, fortnightly or ad hoc around key milestones. Flat rate per visit

Monthly Progress Reel

A short edited cut of 20 to 30 seconds from each visit, ready for LinkedIn and monthly project updates.

Ground Production Add-On

Extends any drone visit with ground-level production during the same attendance, adding a human scale to the record that aerial footage alone cannot provide.

A branded portal giving the whole project team eyes on the site from anywhere, on any device.

Fixed-Point Time Lapse Cameras

Self-contained cameras capturing the site every single day. The monthly visit shows you the month; a fixed camera fills in every day in between.

- Fully independent units: solar powered with their own 4G connection. No site power, wiring, or network required
- Images upload to the portal automatically every day, monitored remotely by KSC
- Camera positions confirmed during an initial site visit, with installation available from early in the engagement
- A site of this scale supports multiple camera positions: each additional camera adds a permanent angle to the portal at the same monthly rate
- Every camera includes a finished time lapse video at the end of its engagement

$1,000 + GST per month, per camera

End-of-Phase Project Film

Included with an ongoing monthly engagement.

- Everything captured across the phase feeds into the film: waypoint flights, drone progress footage, and fixed camera time lapse where cameras are on site
- Edited into a finished 60 to 90 second film of the works from start to finish
- Music, graphics, and project branding incorporated
- Suitable for LinkedIn, project marketing, stakeholder presentations, and community announcements
- Additional elements such as stakeholder interviews, ground production, or location context can be added to expand the film, quoted based on requirements

Looking Ahead: The Full Program

This proposal covers the bulk earthworks phase of stages 7 to 10.

- If the arrangement is working well, coverage can simply continue into the civil and home building phases ahead
- Longer-term arrangements across the full program can be discussed and agreed at the appropriate time
