The Glove Company – PV800 KOMODO Vigilant PVAD Glove Video Production Proposal
Prepared by:
The Why
Strategic Vision & Audience
Target Audience
The content targets non-electrical tradespeople, specifically plumbers, demolition workers, and construction labourers who encounter electrical hazards as a secondary risk during their daily work. Secondary audiences include site managers, safety officers, and PPE procurement decision-makers.
Creative Direction
The visual approach is live-action realism. No animation, no clinical product demos. The camera goes where the tradesperson goes: under houses, into walls, onto dusty demolition sites. The tone is gritty and grounded, built around “near-miss” scenarios that provoke recognition.
The audience should watch and think, “I have seen this happen on site. This product is for me.”
Funnel Strategy
The deliverables follow a three-stage marketing funnel. The TVC drives broad awareness. Social content targets specific trades with relatable scenarios. The explainer video converts interest into action by simplifying the technical pitch for buyers and safety managers.
Creative Treatment
The following scenario outlines are intended to give a sense of creative direction and tone. These are starting points, not locked-in scripts. Full concepts will be developed collaboratively during the pre-production phase, drawing on your team's product knowledge and real-world trade experience to ensure every scenario feels authentic.
Plumbing Scenario
A plumber is called out to a routine water meter replacement at a residential property. The camera follows them close, handheld, capturing the tight, damp workspace under the house. As they begin to unscrew the old meter, the water is unusually warm. What they do not know is that a faulty solar system has sent current into the pipework through a broken ground connection. As their hand moves toward the pipe, the PVAD glove triggers: a sharp 95dB alarm and flashing red LED. They pull back. A utility electrician later confirms the fault was life-threatening.
Demolition Scenario
A demolition worker is stripping out an older commercial interior. The environment is dusty, cluttered, and loud. They are using a reciprocating saw to section a conduit that has been signed off as de-energised. The panel marking says it is dead. But a T-connection from an adjacent room has left a 110V line active inside the conduit. As the worker’s gloved hand approaches the cut, the PVAD glove fires its alert sequence. They stop mid-cut, check the line, and realise the panel marking was wrong.
Construction Scenario
A construction worker is repositioning an aluminium ladder on a busy site. Overhead power lines run across the boundary of the property, but the focus is on the job at hand, not what is above. As they lift the ladder and begin to walk it upright, the top end arcs toward the overhead lines. The PVAD glove picks up the increasing electrical field before the ladder makes contact. The alarm sounds. They lower the ladder and step back. The crew stops and reassesses the setup.
The End Tag
“Coming Home”
Each scenario closes with the same emotional beat. The worker arrives home at the end of the day. They walk through the front door. Their kids run to greet them. Their partner looks up from the kitchen. It is an ordinary moment, but the audience knows it almost was not. The PVAD did not just prevent an injury. It brought them home.
These treatments are designed to be adapted across both TVC and social media formats. A single scenario can be filmed as a tense, cinematic 30-60 second spot for broadcast, then re-cut into punchy 15-second social clips that focus on the PVAD moment of detection. The specifics of each scenario will be refined during pre-production in close collaboration with your team.

A Note on Talent
The pricing above does not include talent/actor fees. The preferred approach is to source real tradespeople for authenticity, which aligns with the “relatable reality” creative direction. If we are unable to source suitable tradespeople for filming, we will need to explore professional talent, and that cost would be discussed and agreed separately.
A Note on TVC Broadcast Delivery
Once the TVCs are finalised, there are additional steps required to get them to air, including ClearAds (CAD) approval and delivery to television networks via Adstream. These logistics and associated costs will depend on which networks and regions you choose to target, so we will work through this together in future meetings once the campaign direction is confirmed.
Inclusions
All options include travel within approximately one hour of Newcastle, all equipment hire, two rounds of revisions per deliverable, and final delivery in all required formats. Not included: talent/actor fees (if required), TVC broadcast delivery and network trafficking (to be discussed), and location hire (if applicable).
