Kye Smith has been a part of the media industry since graduating with a Bachelor of Communication (Majoring in Media Production) from the University of Newcastle. After working for several years as a camera operator and editor, he launched Kye Smith Creative in 2018, bringing together his expertise in videography and his understanding of digital content strategy.
With expertise in videography, traditional content production, and social media-driven storytelling, Kye strives to create videos that not only exceed client expectations but also cut through the noise in today’s content-saturated digital landscape.
Kye works in many different capacities depending on the needs of each project and is known for a calm and professional presence on set. Often, he operates solo, handling everything from pre-production to final delivery, ensuring a streamlined and efficient workflow. For larger projects, he assembles and collaborates with other creatives and production teams, tailoring his approach to fit the specific demands of each shoot.
Beyond running Kye Smith Creative, he also freelances with other production companies and agencies, working in various roles to support larger-scale productions. This flexibility allows him to be involved in a broad range of projects—from music videos and branded content to large-scale commercial productions.
When he’s not working on videography projects, Kye is behind the drum kit or spending time with his son.
